  • Analyze the case study. Start to analyze, do a SWOT analysis. Find the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the company or industry. Ask pertinent questions relevant to the situation. Remember that strengths and weaknesses are made up of the factors that are directly affecting the company, industry, person or group. These are internal factors that can be controlled. While the opportunities and threats are external factors that affect the company, industry, group or person.
  • Develop alternative course of action and strategic options. Make sure that the solution or alternative is attainable and easy for the company or industry to do. Sometimes there are some courses of action that will take a lot of time and resources to implement.
  • Evaluate your course of action; it is just as important as your suggestion for alternative solutions. Knowing the outcome of your suggested strategic options and alternative solutions will be helpful. List the outcome if the company or individual will do the suggested course of action.
  • Recommend the best course of action and give your conclusion. Suggest which solution is the best and what will be the outcome of that course of action.
