Jokers’ Masquerade is to Attempt to Break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Gathering of Skeletons

The skeleton costume that will be worn by the world record breakers in Swansea.

On Saturday 8th October, Jokers’ Masquerade Fancy Dress, in association with Swansea University Students Union, will be hosting this crazy event, which will be compered by Radio 1 DJ, Matt Edmondson, and entertainment will be provided by Wheatus.

The current record of 197 for the largest gathering of skeletons was set by the Paul O’Grady Show in 2009 and Jokers’ Masquerade Fancy Dress is hoping to smash this by over 2,000.

Due to the success of its previous Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of Smurfs, of which the record of 2,510 remains unbeaten to this day, Jokers’ Masquerade thought it would be a great idea to replicate this using a costume from this very topical time of year – Halloween.

Donna Houguez, Marketing Manager explains; “As Jokers’ Masquerade is a fancy dress company, we like to have a bit of fun! We wanted to do a Halloween fancy dress themed record and thought a room full of 2,000 dancing skeletons would make for a fantastic sight!”
